Edgar Allan Poe - Raven
The Raven is a poem by Edgar Allan Poe that is considered a classic of literature. It is well-known for its dark and macabre themes, as well as its use of language and imagery. The poem is often praised for its skillful use of repetition and symbolism, and for the sense of melancholy and despair it evokes. Upon a deeper analysis, it is evident that Poe’s poem represents the grief of losing a loved one and the struggle to overcome it. Poe’s narrator goes mad trying to forget his love Lenore and, in the end, resigns himself to a life in the shadow of the Raven Nevermore.
I have created book illustrations depicting every verse of the poem, it’s eerie feeling, as well as working on poem layout in two different languages. The style of illustration was to imitate traditional linocut or woodcut print, as well as Surrealism. The finished product of this project was hand-stitched by me (I have a real world example if anyone is interested), from cover to last page – just like a real book.
Stanisław Lem - Fables for Robots
Fables for Robots is a series of humorous science fiction short stories by Polish writer Stanisław Lem, first printed in 1964.

Oscar Wilde - The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Picture of Dorian Gray is a philosophical fiction and gothic horror novel by Irish writer Oscar Wilde.
Illustrations for The Picture of Dorian Gray reflects the novel’s Gothic, decadent, and supernatural atmosphere. The art style, colors, and overall aesthetic is crafted to capture its themes of beauty, corruption, and duality. A style inspired by 19th-century Romantic and Gothic art, with intricate details, dramatic lighting, and a slightly surreal quality. Heavy contrasts between light and shadow, emphasizing the duality of Dorian’s outward beauty and inner corruption. A stark, modern approach using dramatic linework and shadows to highlight the psychological aspects of the story.
Ignis - fantasy creature
Ignis is a forest creature inspired by weasel or ferret and also Will-o’-the-wisp. In folklore, a will-o’-the-wisp or ignis fatuus (Latin for ‘foolish flame’), is an atmospheric ghost light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes.
It’s a picture book, telling Ignis’ day as forest guardian and how he protects the forest from anyone who harms it. He also appears to the lost forest travelers as a blue flame and helps them find their journey’s destination.

The exhibition aims to show that ancient Greek technology just before the end of the ancient world was strikingly similar to the beginnings of our modern technology. It was only after a millennium of maturity that humanity was able to recover these amazing, forgotten technologies.
